SPARK Program

The SPARK Program centers student-driven goals, and provides students with an increased opportunity for growth where students support one another in English Language Arts (ELA), History, & Science courses.

The SPARK Program is the most supportive, inclusive advanced learning environment. SPARK classes are made up of general education students and those who are GATE identified and/or have IEP’s, capturing the true diversity of the Cal student body. All students are welcome to be part of the SPARK Program.

After only a few months in the SPARK Program, 7th & 8th grade students grown in ELA and, on average, earn higher grades in science.
