As many of you may know, Cal Middle is getting a much-needed renovation this summer. We are thrilled to unveil our new campus with our Cal community. However, due to the earlier start date and campus construction, we have to modify our typical orientation schedule. We will host parent/guardian orientation sessions at two neighborhood schools, and will warmly welcome incoming students on the first day of school with orientation information and activities built into their classes. Additionally, Cal will be open for schedule pick-up and self-guided tours so students can find their classes before the first day of school. See details about each orientation opportunity below. 

Parent/Guardian Orientation

Wednesday, August 7th from 5-7pm at Health Professions High School (gym)

Wednesday, August 14th from 5-7pm Hollywood Park Elementary School

ALL incoming families are welcome at either info session, regardless of elementary school or neighborhood. Student attendance is not required, information is more geared towards parents/guardians. Cal staff members will go over general expectations and what you need to know before the first day of school. Spirit packs & t-shirts will be available for purchase.

Schedule Pick-Up & Open Campus

Friday, August 16th from 10am-5pm at Cal Middle

Schedule Pick-Up from 10am-4pm (schedules will also be available to view on students’ Infinite Campus portals)

All incoming students can walk through campus to find their classes before the first day of school. All students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian! This is an unstructured, self-guided tour. We thank you in advance for understanding that teachers will not be available for discussions as they will be busy and on a tight timeline moving back into their classrooms after our full renovation.
